Renewable energy sources discussed in Slovakia
Projects
“Y.E.S. – G.R.E.E.N” third mobility in Slovakia theme - Renewable energy
sources. Kaltinėnai Aleksandras Stulginskys Gymnasium students Karolina
Razbadauskytė, Vaida Kasparavičiūtė and Raimonda Pociūtė, presented reports on
this topic as well as representatives of the partners. The students talked
about what types of energy are used, which ones are the most popular and how
much energy they produce. Discuss was about European Union's policy on these
issues and the commitments of the states to it. During the visit students
participated in CLILL lessons: English and Physics. During the lessons,
participants not only listened to the theory, but also worked on some practical
tasks: collected models of a solar power plant and a wind farm. They
practically tested it and saw how it works. After testing, students made sure
that we really get electricity from these technologies. During the visit groups
of participants got the chance to work with traditional Slovak crafts, dishes,
learn traditional dances and songs.
Our groups visited the High Tatras, Bratislava. We
also got a chance to walk through the old town of the capital, and admire by
the most famous monuments and buildings.
The Erasmus project and this mobility gave us many new
experiences and discoveries. We developed our English language skills, improved
on communication and collaboration with foreigners. We got to know other
cultures. We expanded our knowledge on the topic of renewable energy sources.
The activities are funded by the Lifelong Learning Program,
which is administered by the Education Exchange
Support Fund in the Republic of Lithuania.
