A group of students from Aleksandras Stulginskis Gymnasium and teams - partners
from Estonia, Slovakia, Czech Republic participated in the Erasmus+ project
Y.E.S. – G.R.E.E.N. The visit took place in October 4-8th, 2021 in Kaltinėnai. Due to the pandemic restrictions, project
participants from Bulgaria and Italy could not come, but this did not prevent
us from communication remotely.
The aim of the visit was to develop ecological thinking for future
generations in Europe. We started the week with a creative process where
students created tales of global problems and their solutions. As the week
progressed, project participants presented their countries’ protected areas and
its roles in protecting natural ecosystems and biodiversity. The guests
discussed about professions they would choose now and choice possibilities in
the future. CLILL lesson was held at Kaltinėnai Aleksandras
Stulginskis Gymnasium where the preservation of various species diversity was
discussed.
During the visit, the project participants had three trips. One of them
was around Šilalė district. Also, the students visited Klaipėda and Palanga. On the last day of the visit
we explored Kernavė and the capital Vilnius.
Erasmus+ project Y.E.S. – G.R.E.E.N. – a great opportunity not only to
expand our English language skills, but also learn about other countries
efforts to preserve nature of Europe.
