Project "Y.E.S." - G.R.E.E.N's fifth country of
visit was Italy. The main theme of this mobility was
the problem of water pollution - people and progress, which
was examined by Aleksandros Stulginskis of Kaltinėnai high school students:
Karolina Razbadauskytė, Vaida Kasparavičiūtė, Aistė Mižutavičiūtė and Gerda Noreikaitė,
accompanied by history teacher Laimas Baltutienė. Like partners from other
countries, girls presented prepared report on this topic, learned how the
problem of water pollution is solved in other countries, listened to the
presentation of Italian students about climate change prevention, "Agenda
2030". The goals of this project were told during the presentation. During
the visit, the students visited Turin school laboratories, where they had the
opportunity to perform various experiments with water, looking through a
microscope discovered new microorganisms invisible to the naked eye. Also found
out
how to make professional videos at home, listened to a
useful tutorial ‘How to create CV‘. During the CLIL lesson, the students did
not only listen to the theory about the importance of water, but in practical
tasks, they were finding out the amount of water in various objects, built
ships, travel road maps. Fairy tales were created using imagination. This task
encouraged students to take a creative look at the serious problems of water
pollution.
Italy is characterized by exceptional beauty. Cities of
Turin, Milan, the famous Duomo Cathedral, The Cenacolo Vinciano Museum and many
other objects left an indelible impression. Native people contagious with their
good mood, created a great atmosphere throughout the visit.
The Erasmus project and this mobility allowed us to get to
know other cultures, to fill our knowledge baggage, to experience a lot new and
unexpected things. The week with foreigners taught us how to communicate and
develop our knowledge of the English language. Especially broadened horizons on
the topic of water pollution.
The activities are funded by the Lifelong Learning Program,
