Meeting in Prague

The fourth meeting of the project “Y.E.S. - G.R.E.E.N. ” took place in the Czech capital, Prague. Partners from Estonia, Slovakia, Italy, Bulgaria and Lithuania participated in it. Accompanied by the project coordinator Laima Baltutienė, Kaltinėnai Aleksandras Stulginskis Gymnasium students Evaldas Katauskas, Marius Bartkus, Julius Jorudas and Emilis Norgaila took part in the study visit.  The topic of the project meeting - Pollution Problems of Modern Cities. All participants were focused on this topic. In groups we created “green cities” projects and presented to each other. We participated in a CLIL lesson as well, where activities were linked to a sustainable environment and ecology. We faced the challenge of creating our own video resume. It was strange, but at the same time interesting to introduce ourselves, to brag about our own advantages. During the visit, we not only learned about ecology, but also got acquainted with the Czech culture and traditional cuisine. The activities were planned in such a way that  we could explore Prague’s Old Town, take a walk in the National Park and visit the UNESCO-listed town of Kutna Hora. During the meeting, students developed various skills more thoroughly: communication in a foreign language, cooperation, critical thinking, technological literacy, etc. According to the mobility participants, the acquired knowledge and experience will be used in everyday life and memories of the trip will encourage participation in other project activities.

The activities are funded by the Lifelong Learning Program,

which is administered by the Education Exchange
